Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 24, 2026 · Applies to the MyPeptide research website

This Cookie Policy explains how MyPeptide (“we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on this website, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

1. Consent mechanism (GDPR / ePrivacy)

When you first visit this site (or if no valid consent cookie is stored), we show a Cookie & analytics preferences banner. You can:

  • Accept analytics — opt in to optional analytics cookies
  • Reject analytics — opt out; analytics scripts are not loaded
  • Customize — choose analytics on/off, then save preferences

Your choice is stored in a first-party cookie named analytics_consent (values: granted or denied) for up to 12 months, with SameSite=Strict and Secure when served over HTTPS. Preference detail may also be stored in analytics_prefs. You will not be prompted again on every page after you accept, reject, or save custom preferences.

You can change your mind at any time via Cookie Settings in the site footer (or this link). Withdrawal is as easy as giving consent.

Analytics or tracking scripts, pixels, and third-party analytics tags are loaded only after explicit opt-in. There are no pre-ticked analytics boxes. If your browser sends a Do Not Track (DNT) signal, analytics default to off until you opt in.

2. Categories of cookies

Essential

Required for security, remembering your consent choice, and core site operation. These do not require consent under typical ePrivacy guidance for strictly necessary cookies.

Analytics (optional)

Used only if you opt in. Helps us understand aggregate traffic and improve the site (for example page views). Configuration is gated client-side; if analytics IDs are not configured, no third-party analytics vendor is contacted even after opt-in.

3. What we do not do by default

  • We do not load Google Analytics, Plausible, PostHog, or similar tools before consent
  • We do not sell personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising via this banner flow
  • We do not use pre-selected “accept all” as the only path — reject and customize are always available

4. Managing cookies in your browser

You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may affect consent memory (you may see the banner again).
